Cooling towers

Cooling towers can have either an open or closed design. The selection of the cooling tower which will meet your specific requirements in an optimal way is based on:

• Plant parameters
• Separation/non-separation of cooling circuit
• Sound emissions
• Space requirements

The process water is cooled by evaporation, i. e., a certain quantity of water evaporates during cooling down of the water. The energy required for evaporation is extracted from the circulating water. The use of cooling towers offers the following advantages:

• low capital costs
• low connected loads
• low water outlet temperatures, even with high outside
  ambient temperatures
